If you are in the market for a humbucking Telecaster it can get pretty confusing pretty fast. Fender has

well over a dozen Series within the Telecaster family. It doesn't help that Fender uses the same terms to name their series.

 

For Example: "Telecaster Deluxe" and "Deluxe Telecaster" are two totally different guitars. Yet Fender did not think it would be at all confusing. But, thats an article for another day. Lets focus on the differences between the '72 Tele Deluxe and the Player Series HH Tele.

 

 

The "'72 Telecaster Deluxe"

This is the dual humbucker configuration of the Classic '72 Telecaster.
